4-20-19 Christian Resistance and Disobedience Today

Introduction: Christian Resistance

Most important this week is the remembrance that mankind is sinful and that God had always planned for salvation to those He calls. This weekend is that calendared time to remember what the Godhead did for us in the death and Resurrection of Jesus.

With that, I don’t expect many or any to take the time to listen to the program. Therefore I am providing a program that I did in August of 2015. The reality is that good governance begins with good governors: individually, at home, in the work place, in bureaucracies, and in elected offices. The problem over the last 150 years is that Christians, especially evangelicals have dismissed the extensibility of the Gospel and left action required to influence all the a fore mentioned aspects of human life.

To that end, we have the right to resist despots and tyrants being the overlords of a nation as these United States.

The Original Program titled “Christian Resistance and Disobedience Today” is at this link location

Christian Resistance:

There are a lot of speakers and authors out there that talk about this. This program is a rerun for 2015 so the tyrant that was freely elected is no longer in office as President but that does not mean that there are not tyrants still in political offices, businesses or bureaucracies.

But, the modern pulpits have not raised up men and women of God that understand the full perspective of engaging the culture and political environment. Therefore, the leadership that should be governing is obviated by social justice warrior and the false narrative of tolerance; to the extent that immorality and evil is subsuming the the rightful place of peaceful living that our Constitutional Republic guarantees.

So the theology of Christian Resistance is not understood. It really means Christian Leadership but…. the pulpits have not developed much of that over the last 150 years.

Disobedience Today:

I will just leave it at this: Go read the Chaplains and Clergy Of The Revolution. Then apply the principles to the present.

Our action Item

is to understand our Christian Founders like Sam Adams who knew what true Christian Resistance is.

And because you keep asking!

8-4-18 Sam Adam 1764 and John Knox Appellation

The fact and reality is: That Christians in the these United States are to be full Participants, Actively, in governing. Sam Adams exemplifies this in his penning of the “INSTRUCTIONS OF HE TOWN OF BOSTON TO ITS REPRESENTATIVES IN THE GENERAL COURT. MAY, 1764”, which according to the Colonial Charters set up participatory self-rule for the citizenry. Not only is it necessary to participate in self-governance but it is fact that a community, a county, a State and Nation can legislate morality. If they do not then the citizenry allows immorality to become the law to the detriment of the general community.

Now, This ‘Instruction’ addressed the despotism coming from the mother country and required responses via the ‘Lesser Magistrates’ elected by the people, most of whom were in fact Christians, to address the issues at had to the national government and the King. Those issues being Morality, Religious Liberty, Commerce and Manufacturing.

Since Sam Adams studied John Knox, Calvin and the other Reformers – He knew that the process of redress through the elected is proper even mandatory in a ‘Representative’ form of governance. Adams clearly addresses the ‘English Constitutionality’ of the people as sovereigns and the Reformation Principle of ‘Appealing’ to the ‘Lesser Magistrates’ to further the Liberty and happiness of the general public.

It is beyond comprehension and an absolute misrepresentation of Biblical Reformation and Colonial Principles for pastors, priest and rabbi’s to tell their congregations that they should ‘not be involved’, ‘fully submit to the government authority’, and ‘pay your taxes without complaint’. When tyranny and despotism are obvious and those elected are not acting as the agents of the Moral Sovereign of the Universe – Then is in this Constitutional Republic the absolute right and responsibility to call for redress and actively act against tyranny and despotism.

We have so much more to learn from our Founders and their original intent for good governance which is based on Reformation Biblical Principles.

7-21-18 Calvin Institutes Book IV Chapter 20 then Hamilton

A short introduction and synopsis of Calvin regarding biblical government. Calvin argued that the office of the magistrate was “a most sacred office,” a noble profession worthy of any Christian’s respect. Magistrates were “the viceregents of God,” said Calvin, established by his authority and accountable to him for their actions. Even tyranny was preferable to anarchy, and only where the tyrant contradicted the commands of God was peaceful resistance warranted. [Institutes Book IV Chapter 20] According to Calvin, government had a divinely-instituted purpose: to protect the public order and defend God’s moral law. When it came to the question of how best to order the state, Calvin offered an opinion: a mix of republicanism and aristocracy. I have no capacity in this short order to get to all that can be discussed back and forth as to all that Calvin proposes and even rejects in this chapter. But for me, the bottom line is that we now have a Constitutional Republic and that is what must be supported and kept in good order for good government. Yes and Christians have a responsibility in doing so.

In the last two segments I again do not have time to fully contrast what Hamilton writes in the referenced Federalists Papers nor do I get into the details of Yates writing as Brutus which predicts our present Judicial system breakdown. The Courts have in every essence fulfilled all that Hamilton indicated would be their jurisdictional authority… and then some. With this short time we have, I am taking you through only a couple high level points of Hamilton’s approval of the structure and intent of Article III that has more than exceeded any perspective of his simplicity in argument for the supremacy of the Court.

12-23-17 Sproul, Kotmair, Knox Appellation Applied

I am bringing you my Christmas greeting as well as a short comment about RC Sproul and John Kotmair. These two men being giants in there respective camps having dynamic impact with all that they touched in person or virtually. The Foundation of both is their Faith in Jesus.

I’m continuing with John Knox Appellation and how it is absolutely applicable right now. This is something that is not taught anywhere that I’m aware of but that may be because I don’t know all that’s happening out there. Yet, the results seem to prove that my perspective is reality. I am appealing to those who call themselves Christians in both political parties to come to grips with what Knox is saying regarding their responsibilities to God’s laws and mind over that of men. This is also pertinent to those in business as well.

12-9-17 Augustine, Franken, Conyer and Moore

As we consider all of the verdicts of guilt manifested by the ministers of the new nationalist religion, we must look back in history at Augustine, the Bishop of Hippo. Today I’m talking about the new national ‘statist’ religion and its theological evangelists – MSM or Main Stream Ministers seen on various corporatist media outlets.

It is important that we reflect again on that sermon by Samuel Langdon discussed last week and the introduction of what John Knox had to say in his Appellation regarding the “Lesser Magistrates”.

Most importantly, this past Wednesday, Mr. Sam Adams was invited to speak at the SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) event in Erie, PA. What a privilege and great time honoring students who excel.

As always, remember: The Founders wanted us to gain knowledge and get involved! Being a Citizen is an Active involvement in our political life!  Let’s get our feet on the street for this time is critical!

12-2-17 If I Had A Pulpit

If I had a pulpit I would most likely bore my congregation because I would ‘inculcate’ them with this one sermon that I talk about on this program. I would press on this sermon until I was fully satisfied that each person clearly understood the ramifications of every paragraph, principle and call to action.

On this program, I don’t read every aspect of the sermon since I give you the reference to it below but I do expect you to read it. Hmm, maybe I’ll do a separate vid to put up on YouTube that is my rendition and modernization of this sermon. I think you may be getting that I find this sermon by Samuel Langdon in 1788.

Well, I figure that If I had a Pulpit and what I feel compelled to speak from it, I guarantee you that I would have a massive congregation of ——- One. I pray that real pastors, ministers and church leaders get their theology more in tune with this message delivered by Samuel Langdon.

As always, remember: The Founders wanted us to gain knowledge and get involved! Being a Citizen is an Active involvement in our political life!  Let’s get our feet on the street for this time is critical!

11-4-17 Reformation 500 Yrs and Magdeburg Confession

Last Sunday was the global celebration of the Reformations 500 year anniversary. This is one of the most memorable events in all of history in that it re-established the truth of the salvation of man from sin only through the Grace of God and only in Faith in Jesus the Christ. But what was not often spoken of in congregations regarding the Reformation is what it means socially and politically. The Reformation also challenged the rightful authority of kingship of humans and re-established the existence of the only rightful hierarchy of political authority again being in King Jesus.

The story of this plays out in the siege of Magdeburg and the Magdeburg Confession – One little city holding out and winning against the ‘Holy Roman Empire’. It is also about the true understanding of Romans 13 and the Doctrine of The Lesser Magistrate. You see, the Founding Fathers of America understood every aspect of the Reformation. Samuel Adams studied theology before he studied law. He had a clear understand of these Principles that are true from Genesis to Revelations and every aspect of governance in the context of corruptible human kind.

3-7-15 Program: S. A. The Lesser Magistrate

A few programs back I introduced the “Doctrine of the Minor/Lesser Magistrate.”  In this program I bring to light how Sam Adams understood this “Doctrine” and in reality lived it as the quintessential Lesser Magistrate.

OK, just to get it straight on the definition, quintessential in this context means: representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality.

Sam Adams from his first elected position to the last term of office as the Governor of Massachusetts understood who the Great Sovereign is and how that applies to every aspect of life and governance.  Sam Adams fully applied the “Doctrine of the Minor/Lesser Magistrate” during his life.  I hope for moderns that can understand and apply this truth in the present.
