With the tragedy in Florida I will focus the first segment on the real issues that have been and are the cause and effect realities of our national condition. The mental health issues in my opinion are the fault of the educational system starting with the anti-God humanists Horace Mann and Dewey.
I am compelled to bring out in the first segment of the program the same conclusion that Charles Finney did in THE DECAY OF CONSCIENCE December 4, 1873. Finney ends with this:
“Brethren, our preaching will bear its legitimate fruits. If immorality prevails in the land, the fault is ours in a great degree. If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discrimination, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in religion, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact, my dear brethren; but let us lay it to heart, and be thoroughly awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation.”
The remainder of the program is going to come from Federalist #42 through #44. I set up our conversation for this program in my blog post of the same title from Thursday. In these Federalist Papers, Madison does speak to this very day by of delineating what the purposes of the various Clauses in the constitution are for and how the intent should to be for implementation. Surprisingly he even give leeway for the likes of socialist/communist states if they maintain a form of republican government established by the Constitution.
