Episode 388: Revival Substance, Edwards, Stiles and Liberty

Video of Revival Substance, Edwards, Stiles and Liberty atRumble Or Brighteon  or YouTube

The Spirit of God is the giver of revival substance. We know from variousRevival Substance Old Testament Scripture that the Spirit of the Lord is manifested purposefully. In 1 Samuel there is a plethora of instances of the giving and removal of God’s Spirit. More so, we know that the Holy Spirit is present for those in Christ since the day of Pentecost. With that reality, many, including myself, have been praying for decades, that the living God of the whole Bible would regenerate and reform His Church as well as reach those who have not recognized complete salvation is Jesus the Christ.

We have seen over the course of this last week that there is a ‘declared’ revival at Asbury University in Kentucky. Thousands of Students and others are descending on Ashbury to see and even participate in what God is doing. It is being reported that many who have participated are returning to their campuses and beginning prayer and worship meetings similar to Ashbury. Make a note that there is a History of Revival at Ashbury as noted on their web site.

What is most significant, as reported by the Ashbury Student Body President, there is a hunger for God in this generation. (see Tucker Carlson reports on Asbury University) This is a wonder that is remarkable in that it is extending beyond the Asbury campus.

My prayer is that this brings reformation to the pulpits and historical, Biblical Reformation to the church such that the full extensibility of the Living God will affect every aspect of lives as was seen during ‘The First Great Awakening.’

Revival Substance – Edwards

Not withstanding that God will do as He pleases and directs, my prayer is that there will be revival substance that follows up from the great spiritual, mindful, physical and emotionalism of the event. I discuss this from the view of Jonathan Edwards. Continue reading

Episode 387: National Sins, True History – Ezra Stiles and America

Watch the video at: Rumble, Brighteon,

National sins despises true history. I have to clarify that I’m just a simple individual whoNational Sins studies my Bible, the Reformation and history. It is clear that humanity most often cherishes their sinfulness as proven by the O’biden State of the Union and the antics of the Deamoncrats, especially those wearing the loving abortion pins at that debacle.

As you will learn during the next few series of programs, I will present on and from ‘THE PULPIT OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION: OR, The Political Sermons of The Period of 1776’ – is that for a nation to have political stability it must have a moral people. That morality needs to be established in Biblical Reformation Truth or else we have the morality of Satan which we see and hear in every corner of society, political policy and governance. This distinction on morality is fact, it is reality.

In the Preface of the quoted work it is noted that:

‘It is the voice of the Fathers of the Republic, enforced by their example. They invoked God in their civil assemblies, called upon their chosen teachers of religion for counsel from the Bible, and recognized its precepts as the law of their public conduct. The Fathers did not divorce politics and religion, but they denounced the separation as ungodly.’

We have deviated so far in our pulpits from the factual truths of our founding that personal sin is the enforcement of policy and example in political leadership. Where is it that those in political (legislative), bureaucratic or legal positions throughout local and state governance call on those for counsel from the Bible? It is the rare individual at any level of governance that even personally seeks the author of law let alone publicly manifests that they are beholden to and under the authority of the Sovereign of all creation.

This program is a call to, a challenge, maybe a mandate that all, meaning everyone, understands sovereignty. Humanity, especially in these United States, has through humanism, embellished individual sovereignty and dismissed the reality of God’s Sovereign – Jesus the Christ. This misplaced understanding and belief of human sovereignty is the essence of our national sins and rejection of true history.

If you really want to save the Republic then you need to understand and accept the Sovereign who is now and ever shall be in authority over all creation. With that, then those in leadership and governance shall be held to the recognition that ‘ precepts as the law of their public conduct’ must be Biblically held truth.

A Couple Items Covered

In this program I only have time to cover a couple of our national sins. I touch on the pulpits rejecting the true history of our Founding Pulpits. I point out the Satanic Temple of New Mexico rituals in their new abortion clinics. To which I mention the Moloch worshipers in Congress. Lastly, I will introduce Dr. Ezra Stiles and the sermon which will be the focus of some future programs.

Chaplains and Clergy of the Revolution: Chapter 19 – Ezra Stiles

Ezra Stiles  Ezra Stiles

Ezra Stiles continues the depth of living the Extensibility of the Gospel: — His Prophecy respecting the Colonies, in 1760. — President of Yale College. — Chancellor Kent’s Eulogy of him. — His Patriotism. — Keeps a Diary of Revolutionary Events.—His Death..

Ezra Stiles succeeded Dr. Dagget as President of Yale and continued the patriotism regarding what is lost in modern times – Christianity (religion) and fighting tyranny go hand in hand. Hence it can be noted that Ezra Stiles completes ‘the illustrious trio of patriotic Presidents’ that Yale should boast of instead of cowering in socialism and neo-marxism of our present. As a reminder, the trio mentioned are the last two chapters: Dwight and Dagget, and this on Stiles.

Therefore we can easily understand why Ezra Stiles had a capacity to see a coalescence of the colonies into These United States. For that reason his eulogy explained his patriotism as: “resident Stiles’ zeal for civil and religious liberty was kindled at the altar of the English and New England Puritans, and it was animating and vivid.”

Without a doubt we need Pastors, professors as well as institutional leadership as exemplified by Ezra Stiles and his predecessors.

The Book

The Chaplains and Clergy of the Revolution is the Historical Fact that Christianity (see the link at the end) is the root of our American Heritage and a key factor in the inspiration of the Revolution. God governance is God’s governance and the Citizenry understood this. Those that were Chaplains and Clergy were not just religious mouth pieces. NO, They were warrior Patriots that spoke first the Word of God and then the musket or sword.

I am reading this book as if to my Grandchildren. My great hope is that parents and Grandparents would do the same. I hope and pray more that Pastors would be in these tumultuous times as the same that these Founding Clergy and Chaplains were.

Let us all learn and act according to the Blessing and examples they set for US in our Foundation.
