A Sermon for Americans by Pastor Doug Wilson

I was looking to write something like “A Sermon to Americans’ but it is better preached by Pastor Wilson.

As many of you know, I’m just a simple Citizen that has delved deep into the Foundations of America. Since my immersion in facts, hip wading through the modern mire of rewriting history – face it, this has been happening over the last 80 years – I have been able to very clearly see the relationship of Reformation Biblical reality regarding all governance.

Not to make this one of my long commentaries, I will simply note that the Link to the Sermon by Pastor Doug Wilson is one that should be echoed from every Evangelical pulpit in the land.

“A Sermon for Americans” (here’s the Link) is in the tone of those ‘Chaplains and Clergy of the Revolution’ that I often speak of. It could be one that fits into the collection of ‘Election Day Sermons‘ that I speak of, although it is much shorter.

I want to thank Pastor Wilson for this sermon. I pray that those many other pastors out there will bring a like message to their congregations such that Jesus is glorified and that true Liberty once again reigns in this Land.

Remember, that as shown in the Old Testament, humanity will ebb and tide the understanding of True Liberty according to the factual preaching of the Word of God and the hearers acting accordingly.

I encourage you all to watch ”A Sermon for Americans’ and hear what is being said in this sermon. One has to hear it several times to glean all that is in it since it is impactful in every paragraph. This is a timely message that resonates with the times we are living in.

10-26-19 Evangelical Failure, Roman Catholic Exceptionalism

Evangelical Failure

In the present Culture and Foundational Political wars, the headlines are awash with Evangelical Failure. I consider this Texas case as a prime example: “Report: Judge Rules Jeffrey Younger Can Share Guardianship over Son James”. My argument is that the Jury of twelve had no moral conviction except for one person. The Jury was willing to let a boy be chemically castrated and turned into a girl because a psycho-bable mother (who is a Phd) is attempting to prove a diagnosis of “gender-dysphoria”.

If it were not for the Evangelical Failure in the pulpits, education and family this case would not have even come to a trial. Thankfully, the presiding judge had the moral instance to allow the Father to have joint custody and medical decision making authority. Thus overriding the Jury decision. Continue reading

10-12-19 Morality and Virtue Ensures Liberty

Morality and Virtue Ensures Liberty  Self-actualizing

Sam Adams predicts our present governance and political situation. His letter to James Warren stresses that Morality and Virtue ensures Liberty.

Adams defines that this must be a definitive aspect of education. By not inculcating our youth in morality and the mechanisms of virtue we loose the prospects of maintaining Liberty. Continue reading

10-5-19 Prophecy Fulfilled

Prophecy Fulfilled  Prophecy Fulfilled

In this age of seemingly national and global upheaval, many trawl the events to shout of Prophecy Fulfilled. In this program I will discuss what could be perceived in the messages of Biblical Proportion.

Prophecy is in fact fulfilled in these United States but not in the way that many, especially a number of Christian thinkers may be looking for. Continue reading

9-28-19 Impeach Me And Set Me Free

Impeach

Impeach Me and Set Me free is a play on the song “Release Me”. Since I do have a day job, I won’t sing for you. My disgust with the deamoncrats has reached that level, which does fit the full perspective of the Kozak Plan. Not to beat a dead horse on that but the fact that about 100 deamoncrats in the House are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus is the impetus for the impeachment insanity.

I will not spend a lot of time on the Impeach Me line of thinking. I will take you to what is in the references below from the Founders Constitution Volume II that has about 40 pages of deep dive into Constitutional Impeachment and the proper process. Continue reading

9-21-19 Political Idolatry and Sam Adams On Marriage

Political Idolatry

This week we have seen a two sided perspective of Political Idolatry. In many ways, those that have taken a position on the Constitution make it preeminent without the Founders context. On the other hand, the Founders frame of reference was that ‘this Constitution is ONLY for a Moral and Religious People’. Many say those words but the nation does not have them in practice, especially within the halls of Congress and the bureaucracies. This Constitution and its means of governing within the framework of the document is impractical without the fundamentals of morality, religion (Christianity in the context of the Founders) and as John Adams stated the same notion, virtue.

This issue at hand is that in general, we do not have a moral and virtuous society as intended. To that point, the Christian religion is not what it was during the Founding era.

I take this Political Idolatry head on with what has been in the news this week regarding ‘Confessing Your Sins To Plants’ and ‘Confessing Your Climate Sins’. Continue reading

9-14-19 Constitution Day: Articles of Confederation, Seminar and Book Launch

Constitution Day

While remembering Constitution Day by considering the up and coming remembrance of the present Constitution, one must understand the first Constitution – the Articles of Confederation. Sam Adams was on the Committee to draft the Articles of Confederation. His clear understanding of historical ‘republican’ systems and Biblical Reformation Liberty were critical inputs into the original structure of the Confederation.

I have chosen to re-run a program from 2018 because I don’t believe that folks, even many who think they have the Constitution figured out, really get what is happening at the National Level was predicted by the Anti-federalists. Why do I believe that? Because the Anti-federalists predicted that if the Pulpits did not continue as the Founding Pulpits, the Constitution of 1787 would lead to the ‘soft tyranny and despotism’ that De Tocqueville later wrote about.

Yes, we are Living the predictions of the Anti-federalists and the analytical writing of De Tocqueville!

Covenant and Constitution

I am promoting sections of my book, “From Covenant To The Present Constitution” in this program. Hmmm…. I still believe that everyone reading this or who listens to the program should get a copy. Heck, since I self-publish, I have to self-promote as well. Continue reading

9-7-19 Theology Comparison: Founding Era to the Present

Theology Comparison:

The time has arrived once more to do a Theology Comparison of the Founding Era to the Present.

With all that is in the news regarding ‘mass shootings’, ‘climate change’, ‘Antifa’, ‘education’, ‘prison reform’, ‘social issues’ and more; the comparison is such that the US is in the time of the Book of Judges – “everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Such that the ‘Christians’ in these United States have run away from their responsibilities in governing. 8-31-19 The Law – Part 2

The Law: Part 2

The Law as seen put into practice in our present time needs more than one discussion. The Law: Part 2 is a continuation of the historical and foundational truths regarding the supremacy of law in relationship to everything. No different then the extensibility of the Gospel, the whole law of God is manifested in every aspect of His creation. Yet we learn via the reference noted below from LONANG.COM that our foundational historical context of law degenerated about the same time as the ‘social gospel’ made its rage in America.

I somewhat delve into Federalist No. 37 in this program because Madison, as a student of Dr. Witherspoon, has a clear understanding of the fallen nature of mankind. In No. 37, Madison does more than defend the ‘convention of ’87’. He takes us on that journey that encompasses the ‘Laws Of Nature and Natures God’. He looks at natural science, psychology, authority, communication and human bias. Continue reading
